CLUSTER II - THE OASIS
The Al Ahsa Oasis stands as a dazzling haven against the harsh and untamed plains of the Rub' Al Khali (Empty Quarter). Al-Ahsa is the largest self-contained oasis in the world. It includes many national heritage sites and some of the oldest known human settlements dating back thousands of years. Its date-palm oasis is the largest palm oasis surrounded by sand in the world.
